Khalsa School – Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence
Khalsa School is the first, the largest, and most reputable Sikh institutions of learning in British Columbia. Founded in 1986 by Bhai Jeevan Singh Ji on Fraser Street, Khalsa School began with only 60 students and has grown into a thriving educational system serving over 4,000 students today, from childcare through Grade 12.
In September 2026, we are proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary, marking four decades of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service to the community.
Currently, Khalsa School operates across four campuses in the Lower Mainland, with an exciting expansion underway by starting construction on our new Khalsa School Abbotsford campus. All of our campuses follow the BC Ministry of Education curriculum, while also upholding the Sikh values of compassion, service, justice, truth, equality and love for all

Two of our campuses — Khalsa School Newton and Khalsa Secondary School — are recognized as International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools, offering the globally respected IB Middle Years Programme. In addition, Khalsa Secondary proudly offers Authorized Advanced Placement (AP) courses, giving students enhanced opportunities to excel academically and prepare for post-secondary success.

Rooted in Sikh teachings, our schools emphasize nurturing spiritually inclined, honest, and compassionate individuals who strive to serve humanity.
