Khalsa School is a proud member of the Associate Member Group (AMG) of the Federation of Independent Schools of BC (FISA BC).
The Federation of Independent School Associations in British Columbia (FISA BC) is an umbrella organization of independent school associations. FISA BC was founded in 1966 and recently held it’s 50th Anniversary Convention in Vancouver with dozens of Khalsa School staff in attendance.
In 2015-2016, 81,659 of the 635,037 K-12 students in BC attended independent schools. This represents 12.86% of the total provincial enrolment. FISA BC represents 298 schools enrolling approximately 93% of these students. The five member associations select 17 directors to serve on the FISA BC Board of Directors, which formulates the policies with which the organization advances its mission.
Ms. Corazon Pabo, our KSN Vice Principal, is currently a FISA BC Director, a position she has held since 2013. Mrs. Janet Dhanani, our Director of Education, is a former FISA BC Director from 2009 - 2015.
